A simple idea scoring template for teams
Good ideas are hard to compare when every person is using different criteria. Silent scoring makes those criteria visible before debate begins.
Use four criteria
Score expected value, audience need, effort and confidence. Keep the scale small: one to five is enough.
Score silently first
Everyone records a score before discussion. This protects independent judgment and prevents early anchoring.
Discuss the gaps
Ignore easy agreement. Start with criteria where scores differ by two points or more and ask what information explains the gap.
The score is not the decision. It is a map of the assumptions worth discussing.
